Revitalisasi Pendidikan Matematika

Now,
in the world of education there are movement from the transfer knowledge method to the developing method. The developing method will give the student chance to developing their knowledge by they self so the teacher just should be the facilitator. Moreover the teacher also should have an appropriate teaching method for each level and chapture on mathematics so the student can get the chance to develop. Changing the method of teaching isn’t easy to the teacher, whereas a teacher must have a skill to adapt their method with the period development, but revitalization of education is the effort to placing the teacher role to create the mathematics education which is appropriate with the nature.
There aren’t best way yet about how to teaching mathematics, so in the every mathematics learning also should give the teacher chance to selecting which one of teaching method that’s appropriate with the topic and the ability of the students.
The absoluter have stated that mathematics are neutral object beside of their own culture value, even naturally mathematics have a value there are abstract , general, formal, objective, rational and beside on the theory. Beside of their point of view, the absoluter decide the cases would be accepted and the cases would be ignored on the mathematics. The cases that is bound with the social implication was ignored, so mathematics only beside on the formal cases. This mathematics can not explain some unsolved problem on mathematics.
Shirley (1986:34) explained that mathematics can be divided as formal and informal mathematics. And then also divide on the formal pure mathematics, formal applied mathematics, informal pure mathematics and informal applied mathematics.
The development of mathematics can be drive beside on the agreement as revitalization of education also means the effort to create a mathematics learning model which is appropriate with the condition and the period development. We should realize that education should more emphasize of the student necessary. Ebbutt and Straker (1995:10-63) give a directive of mathematics education revitalization, there are: Mathematics are pole and relation trace activity, mathematics are creativity which is need an imagination, intuition, and invention, mathematics are problem solving activity, mathematics are communication media, and the content of mathematics are fact, concept, algorithm skill, reasoning skill, problem solving skill and the last is investigation skill. In the other side Ebbutt and Straker (1995:60-75) also give their point of view to develop the student potency optimally teacher should realize that student will learn if there are motivation, student will learn with their own way, student will learn individually an through group, and student need differ context and situation on their learning activity. Beside on these descriptions we can conclude that revitalization of education is the effort to giving a chance to the expert of education including the teacher to doing a self reflection.
